Our partner is looking for a Senior Backend Developer (Go) based in Italy. /b /ppIn this role, you will architect and develop reliable, scalable backend systems for a business-critical energy trading platform.br/You will leverage deep Go expertise and strong system design capabilities to build high-throughput, low-latency services.br/Working in an AI-assisted development environment, you will use agentic coding tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining exceptional engineering standards.br/You will translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications that both developers and AI agents can execute effectively.br/With a strong emphasis on test-driven development, automation, security, and performance optimization, you will help ensure robust and maintainable systems.br/Collaborating with product managers, frontend developers, and other stakeholders, you will contribute to critical features and architectural decisions.br/This fully remote opportunity also offers the chance to mentor fellow engineers and help shape modern backend development practices. /ph3Accountabilities /h3ullipDesign, build, and maintain scalable backend services, prioritizing performance, reliability, maintainability, and security. /p /lilipUse AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini CLI to improve engineering productivity, accelerate implementation, and enhance code quality. /p /lilipTranslate business requirements into precise technical specifications and actionable tasks that AI coding agents and developers can execute. /p /lilipReview and validate pull requests submitted by both human developers and AI agents, ensuring code quality, correctness, and alignment with architectural standards. /p /lilipCollaborate with product managers, frontend developers, and other stakeholders to design and deliver business-critical functionality. /p /lilipPromote test-driven development (TDD),



maintain comprehensive automated test coverage, and integrate testing into continuous integration and delivery workflows. /p /lilipDesign, develop, and optimize database schemas and data access patterns across relational, key-value, and time-series databases. /p /lilipApply secure coding practices, address vulnerabilities, and ensure systems meet relevant security and compliance requirements. /p /lilipMonitor and optimize system latency, throughput, scalability, and resource utilization to support demanding workloads. /p /lilipContribute to distributed system architecture and ensure backend services remain reliable under high data volumes. /p /lilipMentor other developers, share engineering best practices, and support continuous improvement across the development team. /p /li /ulh3Requirements: /h3ullip10+ years of backend software development experience, including substantial responsibility for system architecture and technical design. /p /lilipStrong proficiency in Go, with the ability to design and implement production-grade backend services; experience with Rust is a plus. /p /lilipDemonstrated experience optimizing high-throughput, low-latency systems and diagnosing performance bottlenecks. /p /lilipStrong knowledge of database schema design, query optimization, and efficient data storage and retrieval. /p /lilipSolid understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, scalability, and high-volume data processing. /p /lilipFamiliarity with AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to incorporate agentic coding workflows into everyday engineering practices.
