MBDA Italia is the Italian company that is part of the multinational MBDA group, a world leader in the missile systems sector. Within the *Engineering Italy - Seekers & Datalinks Systems IT* Directorate, MBDA Italia SpA is looking for an **RF System Design Engineer**. **Required Qualification**: Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering. **Professional Experience:** Required experience not exceeding 3 years. **Activities foreseen for the role**: * support for the definition of complex RF system architectures; * requirements analysis, trade-off studies for HW architectural and functional aspects, allocation of requirements to subsystems; * drafting of technical documentation and Statement of Work (SoW); * use of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools for system definition, analysis and validation and Model Based Engineering (MBE) tools for managing the product's Digital Twin; * support for integration,
verification and validation activities of a system and its parts in the laboratory and/or in the field; * support for managing product configurations and any non-conformities; * support for preparing Design Reviews, Product Gates and Peer Reviews; * support for planning and managing internal and/or external activities; * participation in interdisciplinary and international working groups. **Preferred Professional Skills**: * knowledge of RF chains/architectures and related components, sizing and link budget of radio and radar systems; * knowledge of the Matlab and Simulink environment for algorithm design and performance evaluation for radio communication systems, radar systems and RF chains in general; * experience in the use of Model Based Design development techniques for the auto-generation of FW and/or SW; * experience in the simulation, using tools, of microwave systems and antennas (AWR VSS, Matlab RF toolbox, CST or HFSS); * knowledge and use of instrumentation for electrical/functional/performance tests of electronic devices and RF systems (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, signal generators, ...). **Language Skills:** * Knowledge of written and spoken English (at least B2). **Organizational/Soft Skills**: * interpersonal skills also in multicultural contexts; * effective written and verbal communication; * results orientation; * autonomy and proactivity; * willingness to travel.
