Within the Missile System Design Function, MBDA Italia SpA is looking for a Missile System Engineer.

Experience:
0-3 years of experience Activities foreseen for the role : The selected resource will be responsible for the following activities: Support for the definition of missile operational concepts for project and research activities Participate in and carry out missile system studies with the aim of: Defining missile configuration Defining munition and missile specifications Defining the functional architecture (including modeling) Participate in and carry out missile performance studies Participate in the drafting/verification of verification and validation documentation Professional

Skills:
Excellent knowledge of systems theory Excellent knowledge of Numerical Methods Good knowledge of probability calculation and Monte Carlo methods Good knowledge of flight mechanics (subsonic and supersonic/hypersonic) and rational mechanics Good knowledge of Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow Good knowledge of C/C++/Java Programming Languages Knowledge of MBSE and associated tools: DOORS, Rhapsody or similar Language

ability to work in a team autonomy in managing assigned activities proactivity, to provide innovative solutions and process improvements for simulation through the implementation of solutions aimed at optimizing and reducing production and processing times for mathematical models, performance analysis, and related production of performance dossiers Within the Anti-Air System Engineering unit, the role of Missile System Engineer collaborates on the specific activities of the department, which are: System studies for the definition of operational concepts for the use of munition and missile and drafting of appropriate documentation Definition of missile and munition requirements (TRS) and design documents (SSDD) Trade-off studies for the definition of munition and missile requirements and their flow-down to missile equipment Definition and modeling of the missile functional architecture, identifying the functional chains required based on operational requirements, the functional interfaces between the different functional chains and missile equipment, and drafting of appropriate documentation Definition studies of one or more missile functional chains Participate in the definition of the architecture and definition of specifications for the missile operational SW Definition of the munition and missile verification and validation strategy Drafting of munition and missile verification and validation documentation (DVP, Test and Analysis Plans, DJD) Participate in and support verification and validation activities (numerical analysis using mathematical models, pre-analysis test preparation, laboratory or outdoor tests, post-analysis processing of test results) Participate in and carry out, where necessary, studies relating to missile Performance Assessment, as well as for the definition of firing themes and related Assessment; drafting and release of the performance report Participate, where necessary, in Matlab/Simulink modeling activities --
