Overview
In this role you lead Deel’s payroll operations for Italy, acting as the founding product leader for a greenfield market. You’ll own end-to-end strategy with cross-functional teams to design payroll, HR, and time-tracking solutions tailored to Italy’s regulatory landscape. You’ll balance ambitious market timelines with prudent prioritization while leveraging AI to accelerate delivery. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape Deel’s Mediterranean expansion and drive cross-country product alignment.

Responsabilità Define the product strategy for the Italian market across payroll, HR, time, and services
Lead an engineering team to execute the roadmap
Coordinate dependencies across Product (payroll engine), Time, HRIS, and Services teams
Break complex requirements into iterative increments and ship fast
Own relationships with key accounts and validate solutions with customers
Collaborate with sales, implementation,
and local compliance teams to enable scalable solutions
Think entrepreneurially to build a market entry playbook from scratch
Leverage AI to accelerate build and ensure regulatory compliance in collaboration with local teams
Master Italian labor law (CCNL, INPS, regional variations) to ensure compliant solutions
Position Italy as the anchor market for Deel’s Southern Europe expansion
Requisiti fondamentali Based in EMEA with proximity to the Italian market
Fluent in Italian and English for coordination
Comfort with ambiguity and making decisions with incomplete information
Strong stakeholder management across multiple teams and external partners
Pragmatism and systems thinking to connect payroll, HR, time tracking and compliance
