Overview
As a Business Development Engineer in Renesas’ UX team, you will translate market needs into compelling EMEA motor drive solutions and channel strategies. You’ll guide sales, FAE community, and distribution with expert insight, shaping roadmaps, value propositions, and go-to-market plans. You will expand the customer base, uncover white spaces, and build an ecosystem with partners and labs. This role blends technology, business acumen, and cross‑functional collaboration to drive solution adoption across diverse segments. A proactive finder of opportunities, you’ll travel across EMEA to enable growth and impact.
Responsabilità Define and own the solution marketing strategy for EMEA motor drives across industrial, servo, building automation, HVAC, appliances, power tools, drones and 2-wheelers
Act as industry expert to guide Renesas’ sales, FAE teams, customers and distributors
Analyze market drivers, potential, customer challenges and competitive positioning; identify white spaces and new opportunities
Define solutions roadmap, value proposition, collaterals, and go-to-market in collaboration with hardware and software teams; voice of the EMEA market
Promote solutions to customers and distribution with sales and channel marketing
Acquire new customers and identify cross-sell/up-sell opportunities; contribute to funnel generation and conversion
Build an ecosystem of partners (design houses, software providers,
labs), participate and speak at technology events
Requisiti fondamentali Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering
7+ years in business development, technical marketing, technical sales, field applications, or product management in semiconductors, power electronics or motor drives
Solid knowledge of motor drive systems (BLDC/PMSM/ACIM/SynRM, FOC, sensorless control, inverter topologies, gate driving, sensing, MCUs, real-time control, power switches, EMC, thermal, functional safety standards)
Entrepreneurial self-starter with ability to plan and execute hands-on
Strong business acumen: financial literacy, market/competitive insight, strategic and systems thinking, customer/value orientation
Excellent communication and presentation skills; credible with engineers and executives
Influence without authority; cross-cultural collaboration across EMEA, Japan, US, China, India
MS Office, CRM, BI, AI prompt
C or Python coding is a plus
Fluent English; German or Italian strongly preferred
Willingness to travel up to ~40% across EMEA
