Mechanical & Thermal Engineer - Vacuum Pumps

- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for scroll and rotary vane vacuum pumps.
- Perform structural analyses using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools to evaluate strength, stiffness, fatigue life, and reliability of components and systems.
- Support fluid dynamic and thermal analyses to evaluate flow behavior, heat transfer, and overall product performance.
- Plan, execute, and analyze experimental validation activities to correlate simulation results with physical testing.
- Develop and perform tests to verify structural, fluid dynamic, and thermal performance.
- Support noise and vibration investigations through data acquisition and analysis.
- Develop test plans, analyze results, and generate technical reports and recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and drive product improvements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of simulation methodologies, testing processes, and product performance.
- Support root cause investigations and corrective actions related to field and manufacturing issues.

Qualifications

- Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.




- Typically 4+ years of relevant experience in mechanical product development, analysis, or validation engineering.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design, structural analysis, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Proficiency with CAD software and engineering simulation tools; experience with ANSYS Mechanical, ANSYS Fluent, and ANSYS CFX is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of fluid dynamics and heat transfer principles.
- Experience with experimental testing and validation of mechanical systems.
- Experience with noise and vibration data acquisition and analysis.
- Familiarity with test instrumentation, sensors, and data acquisition systems.
- Ability to interpret test data and correlate experimental results with simulation models.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and international engineering environment.

Nice to have:

- Experience with vacuum technology, scroll pumps, rotary vane pumps, compressors, or similar rotating equipment.
