This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we’ve announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. This Position reports to: Senior Engineering Manager.
This role is contributing to the Robotics Division, Proposal & Engineering Department in Italy.

You will be mainly accountable for:

- Supporting the development of customized robotic and automation solutions for industrial customers.
- Evaluating software architectures,
automation concepts and technical feasibility during both quotation and project execution phases.
- Contributing to the software lifecycle including requirements definition, design review, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting activities.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated robotic, mechanical and software solutions that meet customer requirements.
Our team dynamics
You will join a highly skilled and collaborative Engineering & Proposal team focused on the development of robotic automation systems for manufacturing, welding, material handling and industrial process applications.
Qualifications for the role

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar technical field.
- Experience in industrial automation, robotics software, PLC programming, SCADA systems or manufacturing automation applications.
- Good understanding of software architectures, industrial communication protocols and system integration concepts.
- Experience with robot programming, simulation tools, industrial networks and automation platforms is considered a strong advantage.
- Ability to evaluate technical solutions, software effort and project risks during the proposal and engineering phases.
- Strong analytical skills, problem‑solving attitude and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Fluent Italian and English.

Compensation Package
As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:
Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico
Minimum annual salary: €39.000
Variable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity Premio
