Overview
In the role of an International Account Handler Junior, you'll manage insurance needs from first enquiry through to renewal, helping clients find practical solutions that fit their individual circumstances. You'll work closely with colleagues in Italy and the UK, combining client service, relationship building, and commercial awareness to support both new and existing business.
How you'll make an impact
- Support international clients with their insurance needs from first contact through to renewal.
- Build trusted relationships with diplomats, expatriates, and internationally mobile professionals living in Italy.
- Manage enquiries across multiple insurance products and guide clients through available options.
- Help maintain high service standards by responding promptly to client requests and resolving queries efficiently.
- Contribute to new business growth by identifying opportunities to support prospective clients.
- Support renewal activity and maintain regular communication with existing clients throughout the policy lifecycle.
- Represent Gallagher at in-person meetings and events with key organisations, including United Nations-related contacts in Italy.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Italy and the UK to deliver a consistent and personal client experience.
About you
Here's what you'll bring to the role:
- Interest in developing a career within insurance, financial services, or client relationship management.
- Previous customer service, account support, administration, hospitality, or sales experience would be helpful, although transferable skills are equally valued.
- Fluency in both Italian and English, with the ability to communicate confidently with a diverse international client base.
- Qualification in business, economics, insurance, finance, or a related field would be beneficial, but we're equally interested in transferable skills and a willingness to learn.
- Organised and detail-focused approach when handling confidential information.
- Confidence to manage multiple client requests while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Customer-focused mindset and genuine interest in helping people find the right solutions.
- Ability to work independently while staying closely connected to a distributed team.
*Starting salary in accordance with the National Collective Barganing Agreement for personnel working in the Tertiary, Distribution and Services sector (the “CCNL”), 1° livello.
