Job Description Within the Engineering Italy Directorate, MBDA Italia SpA is looking for resources to be included in the WSD (Weapon System Design) Division which is responsible for the design and validation of defense systems. Required Qualification:
- Master's degree in technical/scientific disciplines, preferably Engineering, Computer Science and Design
Professional Experience:
- Professional experience in HMI design and ergonomic studies, as well as teaching and practical experience gained in laboratories, internships and/or personal studies, is a preferential title.
Professional Skills:
- Ergonomics (physical and cognitive)
- Knowledge of HMI design tools (Figma, XD, Protopie, Lunacy..)
- Knowledge of tools for physical ergonomics (Jack, ICIDO..)
Optional
- Basic knowledge of programming languages with a preference for C and C++
- Basic knowledge of Object Oriented programming
- Familiarity with graphical frameworks (QT, Cframework, Unity, Unreal Engine)
Activities foreseen for the role:
- The selected Resource will deal with:
- Definition of HMI design, definition of UX and UI
- Participation in working groups with Customers
- analysis of requirements, architectural studies, design, of defense systems and/or sub-systems;
- use of Augmented and Virtual Reality tools for visualization improvement and training support;
- Definition of graphic requirements for HMI
- Studies and evaluation of physical ergonomics of systems and equipment
- participation in inter-disciplinary (including international) working groups and research activities;
- definition of verification and validation strategies and plans and collection of evidence;
- integration and testing in the laboratory and in the field of defense systems and their components;
- participation in projects of international relevance in the defense sector.

- Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
