Severalnines
pPlease note that the position is 100% remote and we are open for candidates from around the world. About Severalnines /p pSeveralnines helps organizations run business-critical databases on infrastructure they control. ClusterControl automates operations across heterogeneous database estates, while CCX enables enterprises and service providers to deliver private, sovereign and white-label database services. /p pWho are we looking for? /p pWe are looking for a hands-on Field Community Marketing Manager to build and run a connected program of conferences, local meetups, owned events, technical webinars and expert conversations. /p pYour job is to bring Severalnines closer to the practitioners, buyers and partners who need our products - and turn that access into lasting relationships, product adoption and qualified commercial conversations. /p pField and community are a core part of our go-to-market direction, not a short-term experiment. You will turn that direction into a repeatable program: choosing the right opportunities, bringing the right audiences together, delivering credible experiences and making sure useful engagement continues after each event. /p pThe program supports ClusterControl and CCX, our company flagship products, with the conversation adapted to each audience and account. /p h3Your role responsibilities /h3 h3Build and run one connected program /h3 pTranslate company, product and market priorities into a rolling 12-month calendar. Give every activity a clear audience, purpose, account or community focus, budget, delivery plan and next step. Balance major sponsorships with smaller ecosystem appearances, local collaborations and owned formats. /p h3Build lasting community and ecosystem relationships /h3 pDevelop a network of organizers, local hosts, technical experts, customers and partners. Create reasons for people to return, contribute, share their experience and introduce others. Assess existing community channels and focus on useful participation rather than launching new channels simply to grow membership. /p h3Deliver events end to end /h3 pOwn sponsorships, venues, vendors, budgets, timelines, travel and on-site or virtual production. Recruit and prepare speakers, shape practical agendas with technical experts, coordinate assets and rehearsals, and run post-event reviews. Build reusable playbooks so delivery becomes more consistent as the program grows. /p h3Bring the right people into the room /h3 pWork with Sales and Marketing Operations to identify target accounts, partners and relevant roles, then coordinate invitations, promotion and meeting booking. Tailor the experience for practitioners, decision-makers, customers and providers rather than treating every registration as the same type of lead. /p h3Connect engagement to the right next step /h3 pWork with Marketing Operations on registration, segmentation, nurture and CRM capture. Route participants toward technical education, product evaluation, architecture reviews, partner discovery, community participation or Sales as appropriate.
Agree qualification and follow-up expectations with Sales, provide useful context and track acceptance, next actions and outcomes. /p h3Extend the value beyond the event /h3 pCoordinate recordings, interviews, clips, technical takeaways and follow-up resources with Creative Brand and our subject-matter experts. Use these assets to continue community conversations and support account follow-up. Bring recurring audience questions and feedback back to Marketing, Product and Sales. /p h3Manage performance and investment /h3 pTrack delivery, audience relevance, repeat participation, qualified conversations, product actions, opportunity contribution and follow-up coverage. Maintain accurate spend forecasts, distinguish sourced from influenced opportunities, and recommend where to invest more, change the approach or stop an activity. /p h3The program you will run /h3 h3Our Initial Working Plan Includes /h3 ul liTwo anchor sponsored conferences and at least four lighter secondary or ecosystem appearances /li liSix local meetups /li liOne owned half-day event /li liSix technical webinars and release-led sessions as needed /li liSix podcasts or expert conversations /li /ul pThese are planning assumptions, not a requirement to maximize event volume. You will refine the mix around audience relevance, market opportunity, production capacity and budget. /p pNamed-account follow-up and community engagement continue throughout the year. /p pLocal hosts, partners and internal contributors will help extend the program across selected markets. You are not expected to launch everywhere or deliver every activity alone. /p h3How you will work /h3 pYou will report to the Marketing Director and work closely with Creative Brand, Marketing Operations, Sales, Product, Engineering and Support. /p pYou will manage approved field and community allocations and recommend changes, while the Marketing Director retains overall budget and strategic-priority decisions. /p pYou own program delivery, relationships, audience experience and effective handoffs. /p pSales owns accepted opportunities and closing. Technical experts own technical accuracy and product commitments. /p pThis is a program ownership role with hands-on execution. It is not an SDR position, and you are not expected to personally create every technical presentation, design asset or recording. /p h3What we’re looking for /h3 ul liExperience owning field, event, community or developer marketing programs in B2B software, cloud infrastructure, databases or a similarly technical business, with examples of meaningful audience and commercial outcomes.
/li liHands-on experience delivering in-person and virtual events, including speaker preparation, vendor coordination, budgets, promotion, production and follow-up. You can manage several overlapping workstreams without losing the details. /li liStrong relationship-building skills with communities, customers, partners and internal teams. You know how to create repeat participation and work with local organizers or contributors across markets. /li liTechnical curiosity and audience empathy. You can work with engineers, database specialists and platform teams to develop useful, credible sessions. You do not need to be a database expert, but you should be comfortable learning the subject and asking precise questions. /li liPractical experience with CRM and marketing automation, webinar or event platforms, and reporting. You can connect participation to follow-up and account progression, understand the limits of attribution, and use evidence to make budget decisions. /li liClear written and spoken English, independent project ownership and the ability to coordinate across teams and time zones. /li liWillingness to travel internationally as part of the role and occasionally deliver events outside standard local working hours. /li /ul h3What success looks like In your first 90 days /h3 h3You Will /h3 ul liTurn the agreed direction and existing activity into a prioritized calendar. /li liEstablish repeatable event briefs, production workflows and post-event processes. /li liBuild a network of speakers, partners, community contacts and local hosts. /li liPut audience capture, segmentation and Sales handoffs into operation with Marketing Operations. /li liTake ownership of scheduled delivery and establish a practical performance baseline. /li /ul pOver time /p pSuccess means building stronger access to relevant accounts and ecosystems, increasing repeat participation and advocacy, delivering consistently within budget, and creating more meaningful product and commercial next steps from audience engagement. /p pYou will review follow-up and opportunity contributions regularly with Sales and provide clear recommendations to the Marketing Director. /p pAttendance and registration counts matter as operating measures, but they are not the goal on their own. The goal is to build a field and community program that creates useful relationships, credible engagement and measurable business impact. /p h3What We Offer /h3 ul liB2B contract with full-time employee benefits /li liAnnual premio based on company results /li liReimbursement budget to setup and maintain your virtual office (PC, Notebook, Headset, etc.) /li li4 weeks paid vacation annually /li liAdditional birthday day off /li liPaid public holidays in your country /li liMonthly budget for sports activities /li liYou can work from anywhere /li liFlexible working arrangements /li liOffsite team meetings at least once a year (we’ve already visited places including Tokyo, Madrid, Belgrade, and Krakow) /li /ul #J-18808-Ljbffr
