The Cyber Tyre Algorithms Engineer will contribute to the development of innovative algorithms that transform the Smart Tyre vision into real-world automotive solutions. The mission is to enable new vehicle functionalities that enhance safety, driving performance, and the overall driving experience. The role combines algorithm development, experimental validation, and hands-on engineering. You will have the opportunity to explore new ideas, develop working prototypes, and validate innovative solutions directly on vehicles, supporting the entire development process from concept generation to real-world implementation.
YOUR CORE ACTIVITIES
- Develop and validate innovative estimation and control algorithms for Smart Tyre and vehicle applications.
- Design, implement, and test prototypes using embedded systems and rapid prototyping platforms.
- Perform experimental activities, including vehicle testing, data acquisition, and track validation.
- Analyze vehicle data and simulation results to improve algorithm performance and robustness.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to bring new functionalities from concept to real-world implementation.
- Explore innovative technologies and approaches to continuously enhance Smart Tyre solutions.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Physics, or equivalent disciplines.
- 2-3 years of experience in Vehicle Dynamics, Vehicle Control Systems, State Estimation, ADAS, or related automotive fields.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics and experience in estimation and control-oriented algorithm development.
- Good programming skills in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C/C++, or similar environments.
- Experience in experimental data analysis, algorithm validation, vehicle testing, and simulation environments.
- Good proficiency in English.
WHAT PUTS YOU IN POLE POSITION
- Experience with embedded systems, rapid prototyping platforms, and hands-on engineering projects.
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques, cloud-based data analysis environments, or tyre-related applications.
- Strong creativity, engineering curiosity, and passion for experimentation.
- Pragmatic problem-solving attitude with the ability to transform ideas into validated solutions.
- Strong ownership and ability to effectively collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
COMPENSATION PACKAGE
- The employment contract will be regulated by “Gomma Plastica” National Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- The gross annual base salary (RAL) offered will be no less than €32.000.
- The Company is committed to offering a competitive compensation package and, following the selection process, may propose a final gross annual base salary above the stated level, commensurate with the candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications.
- The position’s compensation package also includes a variable component and a competitive welfare and benefits offer. Further details will be provided at a later stage and will be subject to the applicable Company policies.
