In this role you lead Deel’s payroll operations for Italy, acting as the founding product leader for a greenfield market. You’ll own end-to-end strategy with cross-functional teams to design payroll, HR, and time-tracking solutions tailored to Italy’s regulatory landscape. You’ll balance ambitious market timelines with prudent prioritization while leveraging AI to accelerate delivery. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape Deel’s Mediterranean expansion and drive cross-country product alignment.

Responsabilità

-

- Define the product strategy for the Italian market across payroll, HR, time, and services

- Lead an engineering team to execute the roadmap

- Coordinate dependencies across Product (payroll engine), Time, HRIS, and Services teams

- Break complex requirements into iterative increments and ship fast

- Own relationships with key accounts and validate solutions with customers





- Collaborate with sales, implementation, and local compliance teams to enable scalable solutions

- Think entrepreneurially to build a market entry playbook from scratch

- Leverage AI to accelerate build and ensure regulatory compliance in collaboration with local teams

- Master Italian labor law (CCNL, INPS, regional variations) to ensure compliant solutions

- Position Italy as the anchor market for Deel’s Southern Europe expansion

Requisiti fondamentali

- Based in EMEA with proximity to the Italian market

- Fluent in Italian and English for coordination

- Comfort with ambiguity xbvzest and making decisions with incomplete information

- Strong stakeholder management across multiple teams and external partners

- Pragmatism and systems thinking to connect payroll, HR, time tracking and compliance
