As we continue to strengthen our Global Purchasing organization, we are looking for a Strategic Buyer to join our team in Saluggia.
In this role, you will manage key purchasing categories and supplier relationships within an international environment.
You will define and execute sourcing strategies that support our business priorities, combining cost competitiveness, supplier performance, risk management, innovation and business continuity.
You will work closely with R&D;, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and other key stakeholders across our international organization.
Your missions will be as follows:
Category Strategy & Market Intelligence
Define and implement mid- and long-term category strategies aligned with the Global Purchasing strategy. Monitor supplier markets, technologies and industry trends to identify sourcing opportunities and anticipate future needs.
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Selection
Identify, assess and select the most appropriate suppliers worldwide. Lead RFx processes, negotiations and business awards, and optimize the supplier base to support competitiveness, innovation and business continuity.
Supplier Relationship & Performance Management
Develop strong and sustainable relationships with suppliers. Monitor supplier performance and,
together with Supplier Quality and internal stakeholders, drive improvement plans and address operational issues related to quality, delivery and performance.
Cost Competitiveness & Value Creation
Drive cost reduction and value creation initiatives through negotiation, value analysis, alternative sourcing, supplier development and technology transfers. Contribute to improving the total cost and competitiveness of the assigned portfolio.
Risk Management & Business Continuity
Proactively identify and mitigate supplier risks related to capacity, single sourcing, financial health, obsolescence and supply continuity. Develop appropriate mitigation and alternative sourcing plans.
Cross-functional & Global Collaboration
Partner closely with R&D;, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and other functions throughout product development and lifecycle management. Work across our international organization and engage regularly with suppliers and manufacturing sites.

Your profile:
Experience:
Master’s degree in Engineering, Business or Purchasing/Supply Chain, with at least 5 years of strategic purchasing experience in an international industrial environment. Medical Device or another regulated industry experience is preferred.
Strategic Procurement expertise:
Strong capabilities in sourcing strategy, supplier management, negotiation, cost management and risk management.
Business & collaboration skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to influence, challenge and collaborate effectively across technical, quality and operational functions.
International mindset:
Fluent English, comfortable working in a multicultural environment and interacting with suppliers and stakeholders worldwide. xysqume Willingness to travel as required.
