Job Description
We are seeking a skilled PTC Windchill PLM / PCM Subject Matter Expert to support PLM implementation, enhancements, testing, and deployment activities in a regulated medical device environment. The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in Windchill, product structures, BOM management, manufacturing processes, and system integrations. The consultant will collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders,



engineering, manufacturing, and technical teams to gather requirements, improve product data management processes, validate system functionality, and support successful deployments.

Key Responsibilities
• Gather and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Support PTC Windchill PDMLink and MPMLink functionality, including product structures, part management, and configuration control.
• Manage and validate Engineering BOMs (eBOMs), Manufacturing BOMs (mBOMs), and product relationships.
• Support manufacturing process plans, operations, resources, plants, and work centers.
• Work with Change Requests, Change Notices, and Change Tasks within Windchill.
• Develop, execute, and document UAT scripts, test cases, and defect reports.
• Support PLM integrations with SAP S/4HANA, JD Edwards, MDM, and MES platforms.
• Assist with data validation, migration checks, and product data quality improvements.
• Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, work instructions, training materials, and user guides.
• Support Agile/Scrum activities, deployment readiness, go-live, and post-implementation hypercare.
• Ensure compliance with applicable medical device regulations and software validation requirements.
• Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams to resolve issues and deliver PLM enhancements. Required Qualifications




• Hands-on functional experience with PTC Windchill PDMLink and MPMLink.
• Strong understanding of PLM, Product Configuration Management, product structures, and BOM management.
• Experience with eBOM, mBOM, manufacturing process management, and engineering change management.
• Practical experience in requirements gathering, UAT, test case development, and defect tracking.
• Understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and software validation.
• Knowledge of integrations between PLM and ERP, MDM, or MES systems.
• Experience in medical devices or life sciences, with exposure to ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, 21 CFR Part 11, EU MDR, or GxP/Computer System Validation.
• Strong technical documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Ability to work independently with global business and technical teams. Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with UDI, GTIN, FDA GUDID, or EUDAMED.
• Experience with Jira and Xray for test management and defect tracking.
• Exposure to Polarion, Granta, or other engineering and enterprise systems.
• Experience supporting global PLM deployments across multiple sites or business units. Ideal Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate is a Windchill functional SME with strong PLM/PCM knowledge, hands-on UAT and documentation experience, BOM and manufacturing process expertise, and medical device or life sciences industry exposure. Candidates who can bridge business requirements, system functionality, testing, and regulated implementation activities will be a strong fit.
