The Tour Guy is a leading provider of guided tours and travel experiences across Europe and the U.S. We operate our own tours and manage a growing marketplace of partner experiences.
What You’ll Do
Lead our Marketplace and Marketing departments, turning company strategy into measurable results. You’ll manage experienced team leaders, establish clear workflows, and use data to identify growth opportunities, improve performance, and hold teams accountable.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage Marketplace and Marketing leaders, establish quarterly roadmaps, weekly priorities, and measurable KPIs.
- Marketplace Growth: Identify new destinations, categories, and products to launch based on demand, conversion, competition, and profitability.
- Marketplace Performance: Oversee supplier acquisition, product availability, category coverage, partner relationships, and commercial performance.
- Marketing Performance: Oversee paid media, email, social media, YouTube, Guidebook content, and PR through department managers.
- Paid Media: Manage advertising budgets through the Marketing Manager, ensuring spend allocation, ROAS, and contribution targets are achieved.
- Social Media, PR & Outreach: Manage our social media teams, UGC progress, and public relations.
- Analytics: Identify underperforming destinations, categories, products, and marketing channels. Develop corrective plans and measure results.
- Cross-functional Execution: Align Marketing, Marketplace, E-commerce, and Analytics teams to match customer demand with available products.
Skills
- GA4: Analyze traffic, conversion funnels, product performance, and revenue by destination and channel.
- Google Ads & Meta Ads Manager: Audit campaign performance, budget allocation, ROAS, and attribution.
- Google Search Console: Analyze search demand, impressions, CTR, and keyword performance.
- Excel / Google Sheets: Pivot tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and financial analysis.
- Looker Studio: Build dashboards and KPI reporting.
- Klaviyo: Analyze email flows, segmentation, A/B tests, and revenue per recipient.
- On-site Search Analytics: Analyze search demand, zero-result queries, click-through rates, and conversion.
Experience
- 8+ years in e-commerce, marketplace operations, or digital marketing leadership.
- 4+ years managing multiple team leaders across different business functions.
- Experience managing $8 million+ in annual paid media spend, with direct accountability for performance and profitability.
- 3+ years managing marketplace, category, or supplier growth in a multi-product business.
- Proven experience expanding into new markets or categories using demand and performance data.
- Experience implementing KPI-driven workflows, improving team productivity, and managing underperforming teams.
- Experience with transactional e-commerce or marketplaces; travel industry preferred.
