R&D; COMPOUND ENGINEER
Purpose La posizione si occuperà di seguire le fasi di ricerca e sviluppo di nuovi progetti (compound, nuovi prodotti) interni ed esterni, dello studio e miglioramento dei processi in ottica di aumento della qualità del prodotto, riduzione costi e maggiore sostenibilità. Lavorerà in sinergia con tutto il team R&D; per lo sviluppo di nuove formulazioni e miglioramento delle ricette esistenti.
Il ruolo prevede anche costante assistenza e supporto tecnico al team sales e alla produzione, per quanto concerne le nuove tecnologie, l’industrializzazione e i miglioramenti dei processi esistenti.
Main Responsibilities
Le principali attività assegnate alla posizione sono
- Sviluppo nuove formulazioni
- Ricerca di nuovi materiali e tecnologie produttive
- Valutazione e miglioramento dei processi produttivi
- Miglioramento della qualità dei prodotti
- Attività di analisi di laboratorio (testing sui compound e gomma vulcanizzata)
- Industrializzazione interna ed esterna
La posizione è inserita nella funzione Innovation e risponde gerarchicamente all’Innovation R&D; Manager
Skills
- Preferibile laurea in discipline tecnico-scientifiche (chimica, scienze dei materiali, ingegneria chimica o dei materiali e/o affini)
- Precedente esperienza di 3-5 anni nel settore gomma, come addetto laboratorio r&d; o tecnologo della gomma
- Disponibilità a trasferte in Italia ed estero
- Attitudine al project management
- Autonomia e problem solving
- Conoscenza dell’inglese scritto e parlato
- Buone doti comunicative e relazionali
- Capacità analitiche e approccio originale

Job Title
R&D; COMPOUND ENGINEER
Purpose The role will oversee the research and development steps of new internal and external projects, including compounds and new products, as well as the analysis and improvement of processes with the aim of enhancing product quality, reducing costs,
and increasing sustainability. The position will work closely with the entire R&D; team to develop new formulations and improve existing recipes.
The role also involves providing ongoing assistance and technical support to the Sales and Production teams about new technologies, industrialization, and improvements to existing processes.
Main Responsibilities The main activities assigned to the role are
- Development of new formulations
- Research into new materials and production technologies
- Assessment and improvement of production processes
- Improvement of product quality
- Laboratory analysis activities, including testing on compounds and vulcanized rubber
- Internal and external industrialization
The position is part of the Innovation function and reports directly to the Innovation R&D; Manager.
Skills
- Degree in a technical or scientific discipline, such as Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field, is preferred
- 3–5 years of previous experience in the rubber industry as an R&D; laboratory technician or rubber technologist
- Willingness to travel in Italy and abroad
- Project management skill
- Problem-solving skills
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills and an innovative approach

- Direct employment; Italian Rubber and Plastics Industry National Labour Agreement, with an expected gross annual salary between €33,000 and €35,000
