- For decades, European countries have experienced delayed ages for family formation and persistently low birth rates. Economic conditions are not sufficient to explain these phenomena,

NETFAM explores an expansively defined network of potential sources of influence (e.g., family, kin, neighbours, friends, co-workers, and online connections) and studies how they relate to family outcomes (e.g., leaving the parental home, forming a union, having children, separating)..
