/ph3Job Summary /h3pJD.com, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Transportation Manager to lead and optimize our logistics and transportation operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods across our extensive network, supporting JD.com's commitment to exceptional customer service and operational excellence. /ph3Job Responsibilities /h3ulliDevelop, implement, and manage transportation strategies and policies to optimize delivery speed, cost-efficiency, and service quality. /liliOversee daily transportation operations, including route planning, load optimization, carrier selection, and performance monitoring. /liliManage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with service level agreements. /liliMonitor and analyze transportation metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency. /liliEnsure adherence to all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies. /liliLead and mentor a team of transportation specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. /liliCollaborate cross-functionally with warehouse operations, supply chain, and customer service teams to ensure seamless end-to-end logistics.
/liliUtilize data analytics and technology to drive decision-making and optimize transportation processes. /liliManage transportation budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings. /liliAddress and resolve transportation-related issues and escalations promptly and effectively. /li /ulh3Job Qualifications /h3pBachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in transportation management, logistics, or supply chain operations, preferably within a large-scale e-commerce or retail environment. Proven track record of successfully managing complex transportation networks and optimizing logistics processes. Strong understanding of transportation regulations, freight modes (truckload, LTL, parcel, intermodal), and last-mile delivery challenges. Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics software. Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments.
