As a Bartender at the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, a Belmond Train, you will be part of an exceptional team delivering one of the world's most iconic luxury travel experiences. Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve beverages in accordance with company standards and approved recipes.
- Ensure accurate drink measures and consistently high presentation standards.
- Deliver attentive, professional, and personalised service to create an exceptional guest experience.
- Support beverage sales and contribute to guest satisfaction throughout the journey.
- Assist with stock management, deliveries, storage, replenishment, and inventory control.
- Support cashier procedures and ensure accurate handling of all bar transactions.
- Complete bar mise-en-place and ensure readiness before each service.
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and presentation of the bar and all operating equipment.
- Assist with clearing, cleaning, and resetting bar areas after service.
- Report guest feedback, stock concerns, maintenance requirements, and operational issues to management.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and onboard departments to ensure seamless operations and service delivery.
- Maintain Food & Beverage standards while ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety regulations.
Requirements
What You Bring
- Previous experience as a Bartender, Barman, Mixologist, or Bar Waiter in luxury hotels, high-end bars, fine dining restaurants, cruise ships, or premium hospitality environments.
- Passion for luxury hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Strong beverage knowledge, cocktail preparation skills, and attention to detail.
- Experience working with international guests in a multicultural environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service environment while maintaining exceptional standards.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Team-player attitude with a proactive and flexible approach.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are considered an advantage.
- Flexibility to travel extensively across Europe and work varying schedules, including weekends and public holidays.
