BSUA is looking for a talented Credit Underwriter As part of our ongoing growth, we’re opening a position of a Credit Underwriter to join our team in Italy. In this role, you’ll manage credit products across European markets, craft tailored solutions for clients, collaborate with experienced professionals and international teams. Bond & Surety Underwriting Agency MGA® (BSUA) is a leading European Managing General Agent providing surety and credit insurance solutions. Licensed across the EU, BSUA combines deep underwriting expertise with an innovative insurtech approach, supporting brokers and businesses in sectors such as construction, engineering, manufacturing, and trade. As a Credit Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting credit risks across multiple European markets, assessing client creditworthiness, and developing tailored insurance solutions. You will work closely with brokers and internal teams to ensure portfolio quality, compliance, and profitable growth. Underwrite credit risks across European markets according to company risk appetite and underwriting guidelines Evaluate clients’ creditworthiness through detailed financial and market analysis Draft, negotiate,
and approve terms and conditions for credit insurance policies Develop and maintain broker and client relationships to expand portfolio potential Collaborate with cross-functional teams (claims, finance, operations) to ensure best-in‑class service delivery Contribute to new product development and innovation within the underwriting function Minimum 2 years of experience in credit underwriting or related financial products Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a similar field Fluency in Italian and English (additional European language is a strong plus) Solid analytical and financial modelling skills Knowledge of European credit insurance regulatory frameworks Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills Proficiency in digital tools and underwriting platforms Experience in an Export Credit Agency (ECA) environment ACII or similar professional qualification Be part of a growing European MGA reshaping the surety and credit insurance landscape.
