The Production Buyer is responsible for material procurement, and supplier management to support efficient manufacturing operations. This ensures raw materials, components, packaging, and indirect supplies are available to meet production schedules while controlling costs, maintaining quality standards, and minimizing disruptions. This role is located in bVerona, VA /b and will be fully on-site. /p pbBase Salary Range: /b$76,000-$86,000 per year. /p pMay be eligible for a variable compensation plan premio based upon company performance within fiscal year cycle. /p pAt Wieland, we recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be based upon various factors unique to each individual that may include but are not limited to years of experience, industry knowledge, technical skills, education, qualifications, etc. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liEvaluate supplier scorecards including on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness and pricing /li liDevelop alternative suppliers to reduce risk and support continuity /li liWork closely with plant leadership to ensure uninterrupted material flow to production /li liResolve shortages, late deliveries, quality holds, and supply chain disruptions quickly. /li liSupport new product launches through material readiness and supplier onboarding /li liCoordinate engineering changes, BOM updates, and material phase-ins/phase-outs. /li liTrack KPIs such as OTIF, inventory turns, supplier performance, purchase price variance, schedule attainment and forecast accuracy. /li liInquire, select, and purchase materials required for the proper operation of the business /li liBuild relationships with suppliers and negotiate for the best price and delivery terms /li liEnsure the system is updated with current product details and due dates /li liWork with domestic, foreign, and custom suppliers on incoming material /li liWork with suppliers and carriers to improve the delivery process /li liConfirm material orders meet on-time-delivery requirements /li liCreate entries for and track the progress of purchase orders /li liReview, investigate,



and address invoicing discrepancies /li liCoordinate with interconnected departments /li liOther Purchasing tasks as assigned /li /ul h3Production Buyer Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field. /li li5+ years of experience in manufacturing purchasing, materials management, or supply chain. /li liStrong understanding of MRP, BOM structures, lead times and the effects these have on operations. /li liExperience negotiating with domestic and international suppliers. /li liAdvanced Excel and data analysis skills. /li liAPICS CPIM / CSCP or CPSM certification a plus /li /ul h3Joining Wieland’s team gives you… /h3 ul liBenefits
