No /ph3Offer Description /h3pThe proposed research line is aimed at formulating quantum transport models for the simulation of nanoscale electronic devices, improving the standard effective-mass approximation by incorporating non-parabolicity effects directly into the Schrödinger equation. The primary objective is to simulate quantum devices such as the resonant tunneling diode.



This requires a careful analysis of spectral properties and the development of WKB-type numerical schemes that include an accurate discretization of open boundary conditions.br/Optimization methods will be applied to the transport models described above in order to design potentials that drive charge carriers toward a target dynamics.
