We are currently recruiting for a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join our office in Rome within the Electronics and System Engineering Division.
Mission The role focuses on the design of complex digital boards, the management of high-speed signals, the development of power management solutions, and ensuring signal and power integrity.
The role involves involvement in integration and test lab activities, as well as the preparation of detailed and comprehensive project documentation and participation in technical reviews with customers.
The role includes overseeing complex engineering activities, providing technical guidance and support to team members.
Key Accountabilities Hardware design: Design of digital boards based on field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs)

and microcontrollers.
Design of impedance-controlled boards for high-speed signal management and routing.
Design of power management and distribution boards.
Signal and Power Integrity: Ensure designs meet signal and power integrity requirements.
Conduct board and component analysis, simulation and design.
Integration and testing: Perform integration and testing activities in a laboratory environment.
Conduct thorough testing to validate design performance and reliability.
Documentation: Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including technical data packages, production packages, test requirements and test procedures.
Ensure all documentation meets industry standards and customer requirements.
Customer interaction: Present technical project reviews to customers, providing clear and concise explanations of design choices and progress.
Address customer enquiries and incorporate feedback into design improvements.
