Overview

In this role, you will oversee Prysmian-owned vessels through a ship management partner, ensuring compliance with international HSE, environmental, and occupational standards. You will monitor costs, contractual obligations, and procurement to support continuous operations and project delivery. You work closely with the Installation Fleet Manager and technical leaders to plan vessels, crew, and modifications for cable installation projects. This is a compliance- and cost-focused role in a maritime-based installation environment with a strong emphasis on safety and collaboration.

Responsabilità

- Ensure fleet expenses align with the annual Prysmian Management Plan (fixed costs, Opex, drydocks, investments, personnel plans)
- Assist Fleet Manager in creating vessel management plans and multi-year investment plans
- Control purchasing via ship management company: RFQ, authorization, final invoice checks
- Resource offshore personnel; supervise crewing managed by the ship management company




- Identify offshore resources for pre-project planning and successful delivery
- Coordinate with suppliers/yards on cost, schedule, and delivery under supervision
- Collaborate with Installation General Operations Manager and Asset Operations Manager on vessel/layout modifications for projects
- Collaborate with Installation Manager and Equipment Manager on vessels of opportunity for cable installation projects
- Maintain vessel and marine personnel documents/certificates per standards and accessible to Installation Department
- Ensure personal safety and adherence to Company HSE procedures

Requisiti fondamentali

- Proven maritime experience in ship management practices
- Knowledge of Marine regulations within ship management structures (ISM, SOLAS, CDM, ISPS, MARPOL)
- 3 to 5 years’ experience as ship technical superintendent or similar (advantage)
- Understanding of Offshore Subsea Construction techniques and related HSE practices (preferred)
