Overview
In this role you will lead end-to-end migrations from on-premises to Google Cloud Platform, coordinating across multiple stakeholders to ensure secure, timely, and high-quality deliveries. You will define the migration factory strategy and operating model, drive governance and execution roadmaps, and oversee cross-functional infrastructure teams. The position focuses on scalable, automated migration programs and ongoing improvement to security, compliance, and cloud best practices. This is a high-impact role for shaping enterprise-scale cloud transformation.
Responsabilità
- Own end-to-end Migration Factory setup and execution for On-Prem to GCP migrations
- Define migration strategy, factory operating model, governance, and execution roadmap
- Ensure on-time, within-scope, and within-budget migration delivery
- Coordinate with application migration teams to align infra and app migration plans
- Lead and manage infrastructure teams (compute, storage, network, backup, security)
- Engage with stakeholders including customers, application owners, architects, vendors, and leadership
- Track migration progress, risks, dependencies, and report status to senior leadership
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and cloud best practices
- Drive continuous improvement, automation,
and standardization across the migration factory
Requisiti fondamentali
- 15 years of overall IT experience
- 7–10 years of infrastructure, cloud, or data center transformation programs
- Proven experience leading large-scale migrations from On-Premises to GCP or other hyperscalers
- Strong hands-on understanding of GCP services: Compute Engine, VPC, Cloud Storage, IAM, Backup & DR
- Experience with migration tools and frameworks (M4C, Velostrata, Database Migration Service, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of on-prem infrastructure (VMware, storage, networking, Linux/Windows)
- Understanding of security, networking, and governance in cloud environments
- Strong program management and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Leadership & Soft Skills: strong people management and team leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment
- GCP Professional Cloud Architect or related certification (preferred)
- Experience working in large enterprise or regulated environments
- Experience with migration factory or industrialized migration models (preferred)
