Postdoc position in Computational Statistics and Machine Learning available at Bocconi University, funded by the ERC grant “Provable Scalability for high-dimensional Bayesian Learning” under the supervision of prof. Giacomo Zanella.

Deadline for applications: 03 March 2026
Planned starting date: 1 July 2026 (flexible)
Duration: 1 year + 10 months contract, possibly extendable for a few more months

Preferred qualifications include research experience in one or more of the following areas: computational statistics, machine learning, sampling and optimization algorithms, applied probability, stochastic processes. While working on topics related to the ERC grant, postdoc researchers will have the chance to interact and collaborate with the large faculty at Bocconi working on related topics (see e.g. people at https://bayeslab.unibocconi.eu/people and https://dec.unibocconi.eu/people), as well as the large cohort of postdocs and PhD students in Statistics and Computer Science at Bocconi.
