OverviewIn this role you will lead catastrophe modeling for a defined perimeter within the Group Climate Hub, acting as the primary technical reference for internal and external stakeholders. You will drive the end-to-end modeling process, evaluate and implement models, and provide robust exposure analyses to support risk management and reinsurance decisions. You'll promote best practices, mentor colleagues, and collaborate across Reinsurance, Risk Management and Climate Hub functions to shape strategic risk management. This position offers impact at scale through technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration.ResponsabilitàLead end-to-end catastrophe modeling for the assigned perimeter, ensuring timely production, validation and interpretation of resultsEvaluate, test, select and implement catastrophe models; develop recommendationsfor reinsurance and risk management decisionsConduct complex exposure management analyses to identify drivers, trends and portfolio optimization opportunitiesServe as primary contact for Group BUst catastrophe modeling topics; ensure methodological consistency across the groupManage relationships with model vendors,



brokers and reinsurers; oversee model releases and calibrationOwn the delivery of catastrophe modeling outputs and related reporting, ensuring governance and qualityContribute to evolving methodologies, processes and best practices; promote innovation and continuous improvementSupport knowledge sharing and capability development; act as reference expertwithin the catastrophe modeling communityCollaborate with Reinsurance, Risk Management and other Climate Hub functions on risk assessment, Nat Cat budgeting, pricing support and accumulation analysesRequisiti fondamentaliMinimum 7 years of hands-on catastrophe modeling experience in insurance, brokerage, reinsurer or model vendorMaster's degree in quantitative subjectsProgramming skills in SQL, Python and RProficiency in English and Italian; knowledge of additionalEuropean languages a plusStrong leadership and organizational skillsProven ability to manage stakeholder relationshipsCommitment to knowledge sharing and capability buildingCatastrophe modelingExposure management analysesModel evaluation, calibration and governance
