Purpose of the Job The main purpose of the role is to provide technical support to maintenance activities (on site or by remote) on Railway Signalling Systems operated by the Alstom Bologna domestic and international Customers. The role includes the responsibility to manage warranty obligations on the projects in the scope of Alstom Bologna. Position in the OrganisationOrganisation Structure The position will be part of ServicesSignalling Platform Organisation
- Maintenance Team Organisational Reporting Hierarchical and Functional report to theSignalling Maintenance Manager Network & Links Internal relationships with other Alstom functions: System and Product, Application Engineering, Industrialization, Supply chain departments, Installation. External relationships with Customer infrastructures operators and with maintenance technicians. MissionResponsibilities and Accountabilities The person will be responsible for:
* support to maintenance technicians on field;




* provision of performances and log analysis;
* execution and supervision of HW and SW retrofit and upgrade plans; The position also includes the availability to perform activities outside of the Bologna Alstom site (60%). Educational Requirements Capability to interpret electric drawings and schemes Knowledge of electronic design principle and methodology Knowledge of the most common operating systems (Unix, Ms-Windows, …) Knowledge of the most common net protocols (TCP/IP, …) Capability to use test tools (oscilloscope, wave generator, multimeter, etc…) Basic knowledge of railway systems and or transportation systems would be a plus Languages: Italian: excellent level written and spoken English: good level written and spoken Capabilityof synthesis and related written exposure Capability to perform analysis and to relate information from different contexts Resilience and capability to adapt to the context Capability to work in team and in urgency conditions Attitude to problem solving Experience New graduate or one/twoyears of experience on Electronic/Electromechanical company Hardware and firmware design Knowledge of on site or remote technical assistance for Electronic/Electromechanical application An agile, inclusive and responsiblecultureis the foundation of ourcompanywhere diverse people are offered excellent opportunities to grow, learn and advanceintheir careers.
