About huawei huawei is a leading global provider of ict infrastructure and smart devices, operating in more than 170 countries with over 200,000 employees. the pisa research institute focuses on automotive software and embedded systems.role overview we are looking for a researcher in operating system architecture to lead design efforts across smart cockpit and autonomous driving domains.key responsibilitiesdesign and build a high-reliability os framework with strong fault tolerance for cockpit, driving and vehicle control scenarios.contribute to end-to-end architecture design and evolution of the cockpit os from kernel to framework, ensuring industry-leading performance and robustness.develop virtualization and isolation mechanisms and efficient resource-sharing architectures to support convergence of cockpit, vehicle control and autonomous driving domains.develop os technologies for efficient ai agent scheduling, heterogeneous resource management and sandboxing for onboard ai applications.required qualificationsmaster's or ph d in computer science,
engineering or related field.at least 3 years of os kernel development experience in embedded systems.good understanding of low-level system performance and reliability optimisation.experience with kernel subsystems such as scheduling, memory management, device drivers and system debugging.excellent cross-cultural communication and strategic thinking.fluent in english and confident in public technical discourse.nice to havepublications or patents in system software (osdi, asplos, eurosys, etc.).contributions to mainstream os kernels, real-time systems or embedded os.familiarity with automotive functional safety standards iso 26262, asil levels.expertise in os safety, virtualization and domain isolation.extensive collaboration experience with multinational r&d; teams.what we offerexciting professional career in a leading multinational telecommunications company.competitive gross annual salary ranging from 60 000 to 80 000 eur, plus discretionary annual premio.training opportunities in western europe and abroad.
