We were meant to fly. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liAs Materials Behavior Lead Engineer you are responsible for the design and execution of materials property test programs to understand the behavior of metallic materials applied across the full life cycle of aero engines. Activities aimed at proving a concept to be valid or technically feasible by the application of scientific and engineering methodologies. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance. /li liApply Materials Behavior expertise in metallic material mechanical test program planning and program coordination.
/li liApply statistical and curve regression methodologies to generate and publish mechanical property design curves. /li liPartner with internal and external lab specialists and technicians to meet customer program requirements and deadlines. /li liIdentify, develop, evaluate, and introduce engineering solutions to meet near term and long-range engineering needs. /li liProvide technical expertise on product problems throughout the business including supplier and field support. /li liDevelop and lead long term research and development programs on materials and processes. Execute developmental testing programs of engine or test hardware to support qualification part processing. /li /ul h3Qualifications/Requirements /h3 ul liPhD in Materials Science or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical, Mechanical or Aeronautic Engineering or related discipline with experience in an industrial environment. /li liKnowledge of aviation engine materials: Steels, Aluminum, Magnesium. Experience in material testing. /li liProficiency in English and Italian (written and verbal). /li liWork Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required /li /ul h3Desired Characteristics /h3 ul liExperience in a similar position and/or in a complex industrial environment.
