As a Dry Etching Process Engineer, you will develop and optimize plasma etching processes for SiC and non-standard materials in a R&D; setting. You will ensure process stability, improve yields, and support technology transfer to fabrication, with autonomy over new equipment and materials. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to qualify chambers, manage tooling, and document controls. This role offers the chance to shape advanced power device processes and contribute to scalable, sustainable semiconductor manufacturing.

- Develop and optimize dry etching recipes for semiconductor materials and structures
- Monitor process performance, yield, defectivity, and tool matching
- Troubleshoot process excursions, abnormal tool behavior, and wafer-level defects
- Collaborate with equipment, yield, integration, and manufacturing teams
- Support new product introduction,
process transfers, and technology ramp-up
- Analyze process data using statistical methods and define corrective actions
- Qualify new process chambers, consumables, and equipment upgrades
- Maintain process documentation, control plans, and standard operating procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and cleanroom protocols
- Master’s degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or related field
- Experience in semiconductor process engineering, preferably in dry etching xjncmbx / plasma etch
- Strong understanding of plasma etching fundamentals, selectivity, anisotropy, and profile control
- Process DOE and SPC
- Semiconductor fabrication flow
- Ability to interpret metrology and inspection data
- Experience with advanced etch tools and process control systems
- Experience with data analysis tools such as JMP, Python, or MATLAB
