ABOUT THE ROLE

For our organization we are seeking a senior buyer who is responsible for the strategic procurement of high-value components, subsystems, equipment, and services, ensuring cost competitiveness, quality, supply continuity, and alignment with business and program objectives. Working closely with Engineering, Program Management, Operations, Quality, and Legal teams, the role supports supplier selection, contract management, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across the supply chain. /p h3WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO /h3 h3Strategic Sourcing /h3 ul liDevelop and execute sourcing strategies for the assigned category in collaboration with Engineering and Program Management (ensuring procurement activities meet technical, schedule, and project requirements); /li liIdentify, evaluate, qualify, and develop suppliers; /li liManage RFIs, RFQs, tendering processes, supplier selection and contract award activities; /li liSupport make-or-buy decisions and sourcing strategies for new product development programs. /li /ul h3Contract Negotiation and Commercial Management /h3 ul liLead complex commercial negotiations with the suppliers; /li liNegotiate long-term agreements, framework contracts, NDAs,
and other purchasing arrangements; /li liEnsure optimal commercial, contractual, operational, and risk allocation terms; /li liCollaborate with Legal and Management teams during contract reviews, proposal preparation, cost estimation and negotiations. /li /ul h3Risk and Supply Chain Management /h3 ul liMonitor supplier performance through KPIs related to quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost competitiveness; /li liIdentify and mitigate supply chain risks related to capacity, obsolescence, availability, and supplier dependency; /li liDevelop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to ensure business continuity. /li /ul h3YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PROCUREMENT LEAD /h3 ul liUniversity degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent disciplines; /li liMinimum 6-8 years of experience in Strategic Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Category Management roles; /li liProven experience managing high-value and technically complex purchasing projects /li liExperience operating in international supplier environments.
/li /ul h3Required technical competencies /h3 ul liStrategic Sourcing Category Management; /li liInternational Contract Negotiation; /li liSupplier Relationship Management Risk Management; /li liCost Analysis and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO); /li liProcurement within engineering-driven organizations /li liERP systems knowledge (Business Central and SAP preferred); /li liAbility to interpret technical documentation and engineering specifications. /li /ul h3Leadership and Personal Skills /h3 ul liStrong negotiation and influencing skills; /li liEffective stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration; /li /ul h3Languages /h3 ul liFluent Italian and English (B2 level mandatory); /li liAdditional languages are considered an advantage. /li /ul h3Preferred industry background /h3 pExperience within Aerospace, Space, Defense, Electronics, Telecommunications, Optoelectronics, or other high-tech manufacturing environments is highly desirable. /p pFamiliarity with regulated industries and advanced supplier quality requirements is considered a strong asset. /p h3THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE /h3 ul liKnowledge of aerospace quality and qualification requirements; /li liExperience dealing with suppliers subject to stringent certification, traceability, and regulatory compliance requirements; /li liExposure to optical systems, electro-optical equipment, high-reliability electronics, sensors, photonics, or laser communication technologies. /li /ul h3ADDITIONAL INFORMATION /h3 ul liContract: permanent; /li liWorking time: tempo pieno, remote if needed; /li liCompensation: 50.000€
