Overview

In this role you optimize ABB’s production assembly methods, processes and equipment to cut labor hours while meeting quality, cost, safety and efficiency targets. You will define sequencing for new processes to achieve cost and investment goals and support production targets with robust methods, cycle times and material management. You’ll lead improvement projects, validate process designs, and assist start-up efforts, evaluating new technologies to boost productivity and reduce costs. You work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful manufacturing improvements aligned with ABB’s sustainability and reliability goals.

Responsabilità

- Optimize assembly methods, processes and equipment to minimize labor hours while aligning with quality, efficiency, cost and safety targets
- Ensure appropriate production methods, cycle times, equipment performance and materials support production targets




- Define working phase sequences for new production processes to achieve cost and investment budgets
- Identify and implement improvement opportunities and manage projects within time, quality and cost constraints
- Approve process designs (internal/external) and conduct final tests for projects
- Support production during process/equipment startup with action plans and training for maintenance and production resources
- Evaluate new process technologies, lead testing activities and define approval criteria and supplier selection

Requisiti fondamentali

- Degree in Industrial / Mechanical / Production Engineering or Technical diploma with at least 5 years in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and production process optimization
- Proficient with ERP systems and production planning tools, hands-on problem-solving
- Collaborative, adaptable to change and able to work in cross-functional environments
- Proficient in English and Italian for stakeholder engagement
