Room Attendant Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como’s Room Attendant is in charge of making up the guestrooms and accounts for their cleanliness and tidiness during the guests’ stay and before their arrival. Arrange all clothing items in occupied guestrooms making sure that they are folded or hung neatly according to standard as demonstrated Set up turndown tray with water as well as other turndown amenities as demonstrated Turn on stereo/television to appropriate welcome standard Turn on appropriate lighting if guest is not present during service Ensure guest has the correct amount of valet/dry cleaning/shoeshine bags/slips Double check cleanliness of completed work area and placement of amenities in each complete guestroom before moving on to the next task Vacuum guestroom’s carpet furniture and baseboards according to standard during the service Empty waste baskets Recognize and report all missing, damaged or substandard furniture, fixtures and equipment Ensure that all electronic devices (television, stereo, telephones) are working properly Organize supply closets and work areas so that the Housekeeping Department operates, maintains and consistently meets efficient standards Good knowledge of Italian and English Ability to push and pull the housekeeping cart Must be willing to work on a flexible schedule, weekends and holidays All colleagues, regardless of ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, background or religion, should be treated fairly and with respect, should be given equal opportunities, and be valued for the contributions they make in their roles.
