Overview

As Senior Project Engineer you will lead commissioning and operational readiness for assigned systems within capital projects. You will develop test procedures, manage field execution, and handover to operations, primarily at Veronella, Italy, with potential regional/global support. You will shape readiness strategies and share best practices across projects and sites, ensuring safe, on-time, and budget-aligned startup.

This role offers influence on standards and cross-functional collaboration within a global engineering team.

Responsabilità
- Own commissioning and operational readiness for specific systems from test procedures to field execution and punch closure.
- Develop system-level test procedures, checklists, and acceptance criteria aligned with milestones.
- Create and manage detailed commissioning plans with activities, resources, constraints, and progress tracking.
- Maintain punch lists and propose recovery actions when off track.
- Lead system-level commissioning teams across trades to ensure safe, effective field execution.
- Act as primary readiness/commissioning contact for assigned systems with construction, vendors, and local operations.
- Present system status, risks,



and constraints in site meetings with data-driven updates.
- Translate project requirements into practical field execution plans for commissioning and startup.
- Model safety and quality behaviors in the field and support peers as needed.
- Contribute to the readiness strategy and improve commissioning methods across projects.
- Collaborate with WW engineering group and provide guidance on global projects as needed.

Requisiti fondamentali
- Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree with expertise in process engineering, commissioning, and project execution.
- 5-8 years of experience in industrial process environments.
- Strong commissioning and operational readiness background, coordinating vendors, construction teams, and operations.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing settings, ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent organizational, coordination, and stakeholder management skills in matrix organizations.
- Knowledge of process simulation and engineering software (Aspen, HYSYS, CHEMCAD).
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Based in Veronella, Italy, with willingness to travel within Italy and the EU.
