The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is Hong Kong's statutory body for promoting Hong Kong's trade with the world. Its Milan Office is inviting applications for the following position:
Marketing Assistant
All applicants must have the legal right to work in Italy without the need to apply for any type of visa. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Support Marketing Managers in the promotion and development of assigned industry sectors and related projects.
Assist Marketing Managers in the organisation and coordination of HKTDC participation in selected Italian trade fairs, business events, seminars, promotional activities and other marketing initiatives.
Support the promotion of HKTDC trade fairs and business platforms in Hong Kong, including exhibitor, buyer and visitor recruitment activities.
Assist in developing and maintaining contacts with Italian companies, associations, institutions and other relevant business partners.
Support the implementation of marketing, promotional and outreach activities.
Assist with the Milan Office's social media, digital communication and promotional activities, as required.
Maintain and regularly update project status charts, activity summaries, databases and other internal reporting tools relating to Milan Office projects.
Support colleagues in marketing-related projects and other Office initiatives.
Assist the BMO in the databank update process, business matching activities and related services.
Assist the Marketing and Administrative Manager with vendor invoice and payment processing, record keeping and other related administrative procedures.
Handle general clerical and office support duties as required.
Job Requirements
Degree holder, preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, International Relations, Communications or a related discipline.
A minimum of 2 years' relevant working experience in marketing, event management, business promotion, PR or related fields.
Good command of spoken and written English.
Proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin will be considered an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Good organisational skills and ability to manage different projects and priorities.
Independent, proactive, self-motivated and detail-oriented.
Interest in international trade, business promotion and working across different industry sectors will be considered an advantage.
