Responsibilities: - Oversee a specific section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, sauté, pastry) and ensuring it operates smoothly and efficiently. - Prepare, cook, and present dishes within their section, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. - Ensure that any anticipate shortages are communicated promptly to the Sous Chef or the Head Chef. - Cooperate with junior chefs and kitchen staff within their section, provide guidance, training,



and support as needed. - Follow recipes and maintain consistency in food preparation and presentation according to the restaurant’s standards. - Manage the inventory, for their section, including ordering supplies, checking deliveries, and ensure proper storage of ingredients. - Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to, including proper sanitation of work areas and equipment. - Assist in the food costs control by minimizing waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients. - Attend training courses and seminars as and when required. - Maintain ongoing “Clean as you Go” practices and take environmentally friendly initiatives. - Ensure that all stocks are kept under optimum conditions. - Be efficient, caring and friendly in all communications when dealing with guests and colleagues. vetrinabakeca
