WE'RE HIRING – FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER LTH-Baas in collaboration with EcoStone Solutions EcoStone Solutions is a Genoa-based company specializing in technical services, maintenance and after-sales support for marine environmental systems. Operating internationally, the company provides installation, commissioning, diagnostics, troubleshooting and maintenance services for Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems (scrubbers), Ballast Water Treatment Systems (BWTS) and other onboard environmental technologies. EcoStone supports shipowners and fleet operators worldwide, offering a dynamic international working environment, specialized technical training and opportunities for professional growth.
We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team in Genoa. The ideal candidate has a strong electrical or automation background, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in an international maritime environment. Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of onboard marine systems.
Diagnose and resolve electrical, automation and control system issues. Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Provide technical assistance on board cruise ships and commercial vessels.
Prepare technical reports and service documentation. Work independently and coordinate with technical teams and customers. Technical diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics or a related field.
Previous experience in electrical systems, automation or industrial maintenance. Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation. Good command of English (minimum B2 level). Willingness to travel frequently internationally and work on board vessels – essential.
Previous experience in the maritime industry. Knowledge of Siemens PLC systems, including programming and diagnostics.
Experience with marine environmental systems, scrubbers or ballast water treatment systems. Previous field service or commissioning experience. Gross annual salary (RAL): €38,000–€45,000, depending on experience and technical skills.
