They will be tasked with solving complex project engineering-related problems and will work independently with minimal guidance. The Principal Project Engineer may be responsible for leading functional teams or projects and is regarded as a specialist in the field of project engineering. As such, they must have in-depth expertise in project engineering as well as broad knowledge of the project engineering discipline within the engineering function.ResponsibilitiesKey Tasks and Responsibilities:Managing the assigned portion of engineering scope of McDermott projectAble to facilitate effective communication amongst disciplines and different operating centresEstablishes and implements project procedures to ensure deliverables meet quality and technical content requirements in accordance with contract documentsManage the technical execution to support the business considerations established for the projectResponsible for a specific function. i.E Interface between Operating Centres and different disciplines, Change Order follow up etc..Requires depth and/or breath of expertise in own specialized discipline or field.Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.Works independently or with guidance in complex situations.Support others to solve complex problems, use sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutionsExplain difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of viewPractice and promote Safety in designs and work processesHelp prepare and understand the requirements of Engineering in the contract documentsCoordinate with the Engineering and Design Leads on the assigned projectDiscuss project requirements to the teamProvide guidance to less experienced Project EngineersEnsure effective communications among engineering disciplinesDocument discussions and decisions related to the designPrepare, review, and approve meeting minutesSupport in preparing the weekly and monthly reports for managementManage change effectively and proactivelyDevelop and maintain Project Engineering documentsReview work with client,



management and project leadsCoordinate third party interfacesIdentify problems and coordinate with the engineering team to correct themSupport handover and archiving of the completed projectFacilitateReview of Lessons Learned submittedReview and provide input to Company work processes and procedures as requestedReport to: Project: Project Engineering Manager, Project Manager.Functional: Manager of Project Engineering/Eng. DirectorLiaise with: Project Engineer, PEM, PM, Discipline Lead Engineers, Eng. Dept Managers, Construction/Fabrication team, Project Controls. xysqume QualificationsEssential Qualifications and Education:At least 5 years of experience as Project Engineering Manager on a project, at least 10 years of Project Engineering experienceBachelor Degree or Master Degree in EngineeringExperience with the execution of LNG projects at EPC stageExperience of projects executed via MOPEX strategyExperience with JV environmentPreferably member of professional engineering society as applicable.Field assignment experienceDemonstrates a broad technical knowledge of detail design engineering codes and standardsFamiliar with detailed engineering and design work procedures and processesAble to read and understand contractual documentationAble to effectively communicate with all stakeholders on the project#J-18808-Ljbffr
