Senior Project Manager / Client Manager — Smart Metering

Location: Central Asia project (based on client site / regional travel as required), hybrid mode while in Italy (Milan Office)

Team: Customer Success South EMEA – Customer Management Unit

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Client Manager to lead delivery for a strategic smart metering program in a Central Asia Country.

The program includes deployment and three years of maintenance for a head-end system and rollout of 1.5 million meters.

You will be the primary client interface and will ensure on-time, on-budget contract execution while protecting contract economics and KPI performance.

Key responsibilities

- Act as primary client point of contact and trusted advisor for the project.
- Lead implementation and ongoing management of the Client Delivery Plan.
- Coordinate internal teams (solutions, manufacturing, system integration, technical support) to ensure smooth contract delivery.
- Monitor contract performance against KPIs and service levels; initiate corrective actions when needed.
- Track, analyze and report contract financials and commercial performance.
- Manage contract compliance, change control, and claims/variations processes.




- Oversee logistics and supply-chain execution for meters and accessories.
- Ensure successful delivery of Head-End-system to final customer.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management and the client; lead steering committee and governance meetings.

Qualifications

- Master’s degree (preferably Engineering, Economics, Business Administration or related).
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in project or contract management roles, preferably in energy, utilities, large IOT or large infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience managing smart metering or utility metering deployments is strongly preferred.
- Strong commercial understanding and experience managing contract economics, risk and claims.
- Experience in logistics and supply chain management for hardware-intensive rollouts.
- Familiarity with IT/digital project delivery (system integration, data architecture, cybersecurity basics).
- Excellent organizational, stakeholder-management and leadership skills.
- Fluent in English mandatory; Russian language proven skill required to interface project stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel regularly (up to 50% of the time) and work on-site as required.

La retribuzione annua lorda per questo ruolo è compresa tra 40.000 EUR e 45.000 EUR.

La posizione è inquadrata nell’ambito del CCNL del Commercio e Terziario applicato dalla nostra società.

Il posizionamento all'interno del range sarà definito in base alle competenze tecniche, all'esperienza specifica nel ruolo e agli esiti del processo di selezione, secondo criteri oggettivi e predefiniti. In presenza di profili con caratteristiche eccezionali rispetto al range indicato, una revisione potrà essere valutata previa approvazione interna
