Voice Strategic Consulting
External Affairs & Stakeholder Relations Intern
Voice Strategic Consulting · Milan (hybrid) · Start: January 2027
About Voice
Voice Strategic Consulting is a Public Affairs and Strategic Communication boutique specialised in Digital Advocacy, working between Italy and the EU. We advise companies and organisations in highly regulated and reputation-sensitive sectors on positioning, public standing and key stakeholder management. We are a tight-knit team, so everyone is hands-on from day one.
The role
You will work directly with one of our co-founders, supporting his work with external stakeholders: media, institutions and, over time, business development. It is a role for someone who wants to learn how influence, information and human relationships actually work and intersect, from the analysis behind a decision to the meeting where it is presented.
What you will do
- Research and analyse political, regulatory and media developments relevant to our clients and to Voice
- Draft dossiers, reports, issue briefs and executive summaries
- Prepare briefing materials for meetings with journalists, institutions and partners
- Monitor media, institutional debate and stakeholder positions, flagging risks and opportunities
- Use AI tools and research platforms to speed up analysis and raise its quality
- Support stakeholder mapping, outreach and follow-up
- Join meetings, events and institutional appointments, including travel when needed
What you will learn
- Public affairs and EU and Italian institutional dynamics
- Strategic communication, media relations and digital advocacy
- How to build and manage relationships with high-level stakeholders
- How to work with AI every day, for research, analysis and writing
- Reputation management in regulated sectors
- Business development in a consultancy
What we are looking for
- A degree, completed or in progress, in Political Science, International Relations, Strategic Communication, Law, Economics or a related field
- Excellent written English and Italian: both languages are essential
- Strong writing and synthesis skills: you can turn complex material into something clear and useful
- Curiosity about politics, regulation, media and current affairs
- Discretion and reliability: you will handle confidential information
- Proactivity and the ability to work with autonomy in a small team
What we offer
- Curricular or extracurricular internship of at least six months, with expense reimbursement (paid). Our goal is to keep the best people with us: the internship can be extended or lead to a permanent role
- Hybrid work based in Milan, with travel within the EU and the UK when needed
- Direct mentoring from the founders and our senior advisors, and real responsibility on real projects
How to apply
Send your CV and a short writing sample (max 1 page) to (email hidden). In the writing sample, choose a recent European or Italian regulatory or political issue and explain:
- which stakeholders it affects and why it matters;
- how you would bring it to the attention of the stakeholders who count, not only institutional ones, including non-traditional and digital approaches.
Applications without the writing sample will not be considered. We only review applications sent by email.
