We are an international hospitality group with a portfolio of hotels and serviced apartments in Europe that keeps growing. We are hiring a Hotel General Manager to take full ownership of one of our properties. This search is confidential.
The role
You will run the hotel as your own business. You will be responsible for the P&L;, the guest experience and the team, and you will report to the Head of Operations.
What you’ll do
- Take full responsibility for the hotel’s operations and financial results (P&L;, budget, forecast)
- Work with the Revenue team to drive occupancy, ADR, RevPAR and ancillary revenue
- Lead, hire and develop the team across all departments, and build a strong service culture
- Keep the hotel’s service standards high and improve them; monitor guest reviews and satisfaction
- Oversee maintenance, suppliers and contractors, and keep costs under control
- Make sure the hotel complies with health and safety, legal and brand standards
- Build relationships with local partners,
corporate clients and the community
- Report regularly to senior management, with clear KPIs and action plans
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years in hotel management, with at least 2 years as GM, Hotel Manager or Deputy GM
- Proven experience managing a P&L; and hitting financial targets
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Commercial mindset; experience with revenue management and digital distribution
- Experience with boutique, lifestyle or aparthotel concepts is a plus
- Fluent English and [local language]; other languages are a plus
- Hands-on, entrepreneurial and focused on results
