Overview
In this Solutions Architect role, you will design and implement scalable Big Data solutions using Cloudera's platform for enterprise clients across EMEA. You collaborate with customers to turn requirements into architectures, guide deployments, and drive projects to successful outcomes. You’ll present complex designs to technical teams and help shape engagements with sales and product teams. This position offers travel, cross-industry exposure, and visibility across a fast-growing data platform.

Responsabilità
- Design and implement Hadoop and NiFi architectures for customers
- Perform platform installation and upgrades for secure clusters
- Analyze distributed deployments and optimize performance
- Document and present architectures to customer teams
- Collaborate with Cloudera teams to ensure project success
- Lead projects to completion with customers
- Create technical documentation, blogs, and knowledge-base articles
- Contribute to pre- and post-sales activities by interpreting customer requirements
- Stay current with Hadoop Big Data ecosystem technologies
- Represent the company in speaking engagements
- Travel up to 30%
- Work in Italy or Spain (remote possible)
Requisiti fondamentali
- 10+ years in IT and system architecture
- 5+ years in professional services (customer-facing)
- 5+ years designing/ deploying large-scale Hadoop solutions
- Understanding of big data use-cases and standard Hadoop/streaming design patterns
- Knowledge of data management concepts (data warehousing, ETL, data integration)
- Experience implementing data transformation and processing solutions
- Experience designing Hive queries and multi-node Hadoop clusters
- Experience configuring security (LDAP/AD, Kerberos/SPNEGO)
- Experience with Cloudera HDP/CDP or related certification a plus
- Strong Linux enterprise experience
- Strong understanding of LDAP/Kerberos security
- Familiarity with scripting (bash, Python, Perl) and automation (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Experience in architecting data center solutions and hardware selection
- Ability to translate customer requirements into technical requirements
