Whether you want stability, flexibility, or a chance to grow your career, this role could be a great fit. Tesco Shift Lead pay starts at £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available. Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. * Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
* Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.
* Building positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
* Confidently leading the store in the Manager’s absence.
* Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change.
* Coaching colleagues, giving feedback and role modelling great service.
* Staying curious and seeking opportunities to serve our customers, communities, and planet a little better every day. You will need
* To be over 18 for this role.
* Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.
* Be a strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and ensuring every customer’s needs are met.
* Build positive, long‑lasting relationships to create an inclusive, supportive team environment.
* A clear communicator, using a variety of methods to keep the team well informed.
