For one of our clients, an established Italian industrial company operating in the gardening and garden furniture sector, we are looking for a:
EXPORT MANAGER – GERMANY AND CENTRAL EUROPE
Reporting directly to the Sales Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing business across the assigned geographical area, with a particular focus on the German market, while strengthening the company's presence in Germany, Austria, Belgium and other Central European markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop sales revenue and market share across the assigned territory by identifying new business opportunities;
- Identify and acquire new customers, distributors, major retail groups and strategic business partners;
- Strengthen relationships with existing customers and further develop the current customer portfolio;
- Manage commercial negotiations and pricing agreements, following opportunities through to the conclusion of contracts;
- Coordinate and support the existing network of sales agents in the assigned territory, monitoring commercial activities and results;
- Monitor market trends, competitors and local distribution dynamics to identify new opportunities for growth;
- Attend international trade fairs and industry events to promote the company's products and expand the business network.
Requirements
- At least 7–10 years of proven experience in export sales or international business development;
- Excellent command of German is mandatory;
- In-depth knowledge of the German market and an established network of business contacts;
- Proven experience in new customer acquisition and in managing distributors, key accounts and major retail chains;
- Experience in the gardening, garden furniture, furniture or HORECA (hotel, restaurant and catering) sectors is preferred;
- Good command of English;
- Strong negotiation skills, a results-oriented mindset and the ability to independently manage and develop the assigned territory;
- Willingness to travel internationally.

Full-time
Employment Contract:
Permanent employment contract under the Italian Rubber and Plastics Industry Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL Gomma Plastica).
Location:
Milan, with commercial activities focused primarily on the German market and other assigned international markets.
Compensation
- Gross Annual Salary: €45,000–€65,000, plus a variable component to be agreed upon.
Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills and the responsibilities associated with the role.
