This position plays a strategic role in building a strong supplier base for OMP and the Concentric group, by developing regional as well as global suppliers. To develop procurement processes and driving cost savings through strategic supplier partnerships. This position involves identifying, evaluating, and onboarding suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services at the best possible value. Experience of 5 years minimum in pure Strategic Sourcing. Candidates with more experience in a tactical role (order placement) are NOT preferred in any case. Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, with demonstrated success in identifying cost-saving opportunities by negotiating favorable terms and supporting VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) with suppliers. Experience Profile Proven track record of building and maintaining strong supplier relationships. Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives. Experience in Vendor development, vendor engineering to ensure stable and smooth flow of material Previous Experience in New product development, product zero based costing, supplier negotiations, timely execution of projects Knowledge on some of the following processes: Iron and Aluminum Castings, Machining, gears manufacturing and other mechanical components is necessary Proficiency in Manufacturing Engineering, Fixtures, Gauges and Tooling. STRATEGIC SOURCING Identify, evaluate, and on-board suppliers that offer the best value proposition in terms of quality, price, and delivery time. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Negotiation Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms for the company. Cost Management Analyze spending patterns,
conduct market research, and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality or service levels. Assess and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain, including supplier reliability, geopolitical factors, and market volatility. Cross-functional Collaboration Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations and quality assurance, to align sourcing strategies with business objectives and ensure seamless execution. Establish KPIs and performance metrics to monitor supplier performance and drive accountability. Compliance Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all sourcing activities. Academic Qualification & Language Skills Preferred a degree in Engineering or business. Technical profiles without a degree but with relevant working experience will be considered. Additional qualifications in the field of Supply Chain Management, or a related field will be an added advantage. Very good level of English is mandatory. Other languages like Chinese, Hindi or German will be an asset. Competencies/ Capabilities Required Strong negotiation skills with a record of accomplishment of achieving cost savings and favorable terms. Excellent analytical abilities and proficiency in data-driven decision-making. Attention to detail and accuracy. Adaptability to changing business needs. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders. Familiarity with procurement software and tools is a plus. Problem-solving skills. Accountability To develop Competitive Supply chain regional and global for OMP and the Concentric Group.
