Junior Backend Developer

We are hiring a Junior Backend Developer for the IT team, to help build and maintain the application infrastructure behind the digital platforms.

We want someone with at least one year of experience, who has already worked on real APIs and data and wants to grow alongside more senior developers, close to the team and to the CTO.

Gross salary is between €16k and €21k, based on experience.

We want someone precise, curious and product-oriented, with at least one year on real code, who wants to keep growing: shipping APIs and data, seeing how they affect reliability and performance, and learning, step by step, to take part in the team’s technical choices.

- Node.js
- NestJS
- Redis
- AWS
- Docker
- REST API
- Build, maintain and document REST APIs for web and mobile applications, alongside the team.
- Help evolve the PostgreSQL schema, write queries and protect data integrity.
- Implement authentication, authorization and role management following the patterns already in use.
- Integrate third-party services and endpoints defined together with the team.
- Help with caching, logging and query performance, with support from more senior developers.




- Debug and troubleshoot backend issues in development and in production.
- Take part in code review and apply the team’s practices.
- Work with the other developers on features that stay secure and maintainable.
- At least 1 year of professional backend development.
- Knowledge, even early, of a modern backend framework (NestJS preferred).
- Experience with PostgreSQL: queries, data schema and data integrity.
- Experience building and integrating REST APIs.
- Knowledge of Git and the usual development workflow, including branches and pull requests.
- Care for code quality, basic security and maintainability.
- The will to grow inside a development team, learning from people with more experience.
- Experience with Redis and caching.
- Familiarity with Docker.
- Familiarity with AWS.
- Experience with queues, asynchronous processes and notifications.
- Experience, even early, with Stripe or other payment systems.
- Familiarity with logging, monitoring and observability.
- Experience with editorial, media or content platforms.
