/p pThis role requires bthree days per week in the office /b , preferably at our bConcordia sulla Secchia (Modena) /b location or, alternatively, at our bAncona office /b.
/p pbJob Purpose /b /p pThe bSenior Software Engineer, Field Applications /b , will work on the development of Field software for Android/Windows/Linux/iOS to support wide range of Topcon and 3rd party equipment like GNSS Receivers, Robotic Optical Totals Stations, depth finders, laser range finders.
/p pDevelopment skills and experience in: C++, Java, Communication protocols, Android Studio.
/p pbCore Job Responsibilities: /b /p ul liWorks with the project manager, team leader, and software team to plan and manage delivery schedules.
/li liActs as the single point of contact for all issues related to a particular software module development, high-level design, and delivery, and as such, works with all other engineering disciplines.
/li liEvaluates and schedules all changes in the scope of the module design and delivery /li liPerforms modules maintenance, modifications,



and enhancements to new/existing systems through programming, testing, and documenting.
/li limplements support of Topcon Optical Robotic Total Stations, Topcon GNSS Receivers, Mass Data collection devices, and other equipment in the Geomatics Field Survey software for Android/iOS/Windows/Linux written in Java/C++ or Qt/Qml/C++.
/li liSupports our mature software (Java) /li liImplements Surveying routines /li liFollows, recommends, and implements software processes /li liProvides technical directions to others as necessary /li liAnalyze and resolve technical and application problems /li /ul pbMinimum Job Requirements /b /p pbEducation Experience /b /p ul liDegree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, or a related field /li liOverall software development experience of at least 3 years.
/li liExperience in software development process implementation /li liExperience with software development tools (configuration management, design, emulation, debugging, compilers, static analysis, ai, test, etc.) /li li3+ years of professional experience in C++ developmentor Java development /li liExperience with Android development (Android Studio) is required /li liExperience in supporting industrial or any other type of hardware equipment is a great plus /li liKnowledge of Qt/QML, MFC a plus /li liExperience with Windows, Linux, or iOS development is a plus /li liExperience with computational geometry, spatial algorithms and/or 3D Rendering (DirectX, OpenGL) will be a plus /li liExperience with Geodesy, Geodetic Coordinate systems, Geoid, Vertical Datum, GNSS and/or Optical Survey,



CAD will be a plus /li /ul pbKnowledge, Skills Attributes /b /p ul liStrong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
/li liKnowledge of algorithms, data structures, and multithreading concepts.
/li liFamiliarity with cross-platform development and GUI frameworks.
/li liKnowledge of bug tracking systems (JIRA) and version control systems.
/li liUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
/li liGood knowledge of Java /li liGood knowledge of C++, Standard Library, Boost /li liKnowledge of network protocol analyzers and communication protocols used over Ethernet, Wi-Fi, USB, Bluetooth, BLE, RS232 is a great plus.
