Our client is an established international B2B business operating across multiple global markets.
Backed by private equity and entering a significant growth phase, the company is investing in its commercial organisation, systems and technology to create a more structured, data-driven and scalable platform for future growth.
The Role
As Commercial Excellence & AI Specialist, you will improve how the business manages customers, pricing, forecasting, pipeline and commercial data.
You will assess the current setup, identify the biggest opportunities and then personally build and implement the tools, systems and processes needed to improve commercial performance.
This is not a strategy-only role.
You will be expected to get into the detail and make things work in practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimise CRM systems, workflows, data structures and user adoption
- Build and implement pricing and margin optimisation tools
- Deploy practical AI and GenAI applications across commercial workflows
- Improve forecasting, segmentation, pipeline management and reporting
- Build dashboards, automation and data flows that improve decision-making
- Train and support commercial teams to ensure new tools are adopted
About You
We’re looking for someone who has personally built and implemented commercial tools, rather than only advised on them.
We're particularly interested in candidates who have:
- Hands-on CRM implementation experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics or similar
- Practical experience building pricing, margin or commercial optimisation models
- Hands-on experience deploying AI / GenAI use cases in sales or commercial environments
- Strong BI and analytics capability, ideally with Power BI, Tableau or similar
- A strong understanding of pipeline management, forecasting, segmentation and sales analytics
- Experience working in an international B2B environment
A strong analytical or quantitative academic background is preferred. Previous experience in agriculture, chemicals, specialty materials or industrial markets would be useful but is not essential.
Location
The role can be based elsewhere in Europe, but regular travel to Northern Italy will be required, particularly during the initial phase.
Some additional international travel will also be expected.
