Purpose of the Role
The Medical Relations & Digital Opinion Leader Manager is responsible for driving Eucerin’s medical engagement strategy in Italy, with a strong focus on Dermatology, Pediatric Dermatology and Aesthetic Dermatology.
The role acts as the key liaison between Eucerin and the external scientific community, building and nurturing strategic relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Digital Opinion Leaders (DOLs), pharmacists and healthcare professionals.
Combining a digital-first, omnichannel and data-driven approach, the position localizes and executes the global medical strategy, ensuring impactful scientific engagement, excellence in congress activation, development of strategic projects and measurable business outcomes.
The role works closely with Medical, Marketing, Sales and Training teams and partners with the Medical Communication Specialist to ensure consistency and effectiveness across all medical initiatives.
Medical Strategy & Omnichannel Engagement
- Implement and localize Eucerin’s global medical strategy at country level.
- Develop annual medical engagement plans aligned with brand, scientific and business priorities.
- Identify emerging scientific trends, unmet needs and opportunities in dermatology and skin health.
- Ensure all medical activities are scientifically sound, compliant and HCP-centric.
- Contribute to omnichannel engagement plans to maximize scientific impact and stakeholder reach.
KOL & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with Dermatologists, Pediatricians, Aesthetic Physicians and Pharmacists.
- Engage and manage Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Digital Opinion Leaders (DOLs).
- Develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans at local, regional and national level.
- Map and segment stakeholders based on influence, expertise and strategic relevance.
- Foster long-term scientific partnerships, educational initiatives and advocacy opportunities.
Scientific Projects & Partnerships
- Lead collaborations with healthcare professionals, hospitals, universities and scientific societies.
- Initiate and coordinate strategic medical projects aligned with local priorities.
- Promote initiatives that enhance scientific credibility, patient care and social impact.
Congresses & Scientific Events
- Lead Eucerin’s medical presence at congresses, symposia, advisory boards and scientific events.
- Ensure consistent and compliant scientific representation of the Eucerin brand.
- Coordinate speaker engagement and event execution with cross-functional teams.
- Leverage digital and omnichannel tactics to maximize event visibility and stakeholder engagement.
Field Engagement & Networking
- Act as a medical ambassador and maintain a strong network of dermatology stakeholders through field visits, meetings and congress participation.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Performance Management
- Collaborate closely with Medical, Marketing and field teams,
providing scientific insights and stakeholder feedback.
- Monitor KPIs, budget utilization, ROI, market trends and medical engagement effectiveness, recommending actions to optimize performance and investment.
Your Profile
- Strong scientific expertise in dermatology, skin health, dermocosmetics or related healthcare fields.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Relations, Medical Education, Medical Engagement or a similar function.
- Proven experience in KOL/DOL management, stakeholder engagement and scientific networking.
- Experience planning and executing congresses, scientific events and educational initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects, external partnerships and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong scientific communication, presentation and influencing skills.
- Strategic mindset combined with a hands‑on, execution‑oriented approach.
- Strong project management skills with experience managing budgets, KPIs and ROI evaluations.
- Digital‑first mindset with a solid understanding of omnichannel engagement.
- Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across functions and organizational levels.
- Fluent English and Italian.
- Entrepreneurial, proactive and relationship‑oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Comfortable working extensively in the field, travelling regularly and delivering results through strong business acumen and a passion for scientific excellence and innovation.
WHY JOINS US?
- Gross annual salary (RAL) between €45,000 and €55,000, depending on experience. <
